Industrial gas treatment

DIFFICULT
OFF-GAS.
SOLVED.

Bitumen operations, thermal processing plants, and heavy industrial processes produce VOC, PAH, and H₂S-laden off-gas that regulators are tightening on. We treat it — no fuel, near-zero emissions.

The problem

WHY EXISTING SOLUTIONS FAIL

How we treat it

TWO STAGES.
ONE SYSTEM.

Depending on the problem, we deploy the gas oxidation and treatment stage standalone — or as the second stage of a complete two-stage treatment line. The technology is described by what it does, not by a product name. We will explain the right configuration for your specific situation when we talk.

Process stage 1 — In development
THERMAL PROCESSING
The first stage of a complete treatment system. High-temperature processing of solid or liquid feedstock produces a controlled gas stream that feeds directly into the oxidation stage. Currently offered for specific project applications at small scale — assessed case by case.
  • High-temperature thermal processing of feedstock
  • Produces controlled gas stream for downstream treatment
  • Development stage — small scale, specific cases only
  • Project feasibility assessment required before any proposal
Process stage 2 — Deployed
GAS OXIDATION & TREATMENT
Our core proven technology. A high-temperature oxidation system that destroys VOC, PAH, H₂S, and organic compounds in industrial off-gas streams. No fossil fuel input. No secondary pollutant production. Compounds are destroyed — not transferred to another medium. Several units currently operational across European industrial sites.
  • Process temperatures up to 1,150°C
  • Independently verified destruction efficiency — compound specific
  • H₂S, CO, SO₂, BTEX, PAH treatment
  • No fossil fuel supplementation
  • Modular, self-contained, field-deployable units
  • Units currently operational — available for inspection
  • Note: additional treatment required for streams containing heavy metals or chlorine compounds — identified at screening
Application — Primary
BITUMEN & ASPHALT OFF-GAS
Storage, loading, and processing operations at bitumen terminals and asphalt plants generate complex VOC and H₂S off-gas with regulatory consequences. This is where our gas treatment system has its strongest demonstrated fit.
  • Tanker loading vapour treatment
  • Storage tank off-gas capture and treatment
  • Processing plant VOC and odour compliance
  • Permit-compatible treatment path
Application — Secondary
THERMAL PROCESS OFF-GAS
Thermal processing operations — with air, limited air, or without air — produce organic-laden, variable-calorie off-gas streams that require downstream treatment before discharge. Our system integrates as a secondary treatment unit with minimal footprint and no secondary waste stream.
  • Organic compound destruction — not absorption
  • Variable stream handling
  • No wastewater treatment required
  • Feasibility assessment available

TWO WAYS
TO ENGAGE

The anonymous route gets you a technical fit assessment without disclosing who you are. The named route gets you a direct conversation with an engineer. Both start with the same questions.

Anonymous assessment
NO DISCLOSURE REQUIRED
Answer the questions below. We return a technical fit assessment and a suggested next step. You stay anonymous until you choose otherwise.
Assessment request received. If you left a contact above we will reach you there. You can also reach us directly at info@oxian.eu — your data is used only for technical assessment.
You are not required to identify yourself. If you leave no contact, your answers still help us understand whether we can help. You can return and provide contact at any time. If gas composition, temperature, or calorific value is not available, we can recommend a measurement partner. The cost of measurement can be offset against any future project.
Direct conversation

About OXIAN

BUILT ON REAL DEPLOYMENTS

OXIAN is a new industrial environmental technology company. We are not a startup with a concept — we have deployed gas treatment systems in real industrial operations across Europe, and those units are running today.

Our focus is narrow by design. Bitumen and asphalt off-gas treatment is where our technical record is strongest and where regulatory pressure is creating urgent commercial need. We also address thermal process off-gas and selected industrial VOC situations where our system fits well.

We work directly with technical managers and environmental engineers — not procurement departments. Our engagement process starts with an honest technical assessment of whether we can actually help. If we cannot, we will tell you that at the start.

The technology we deploy is described by what it does. We will explain the right configuration for your specific situation when we talk — not before.

Our gas treatment process is based on controlled high-temperature oxidation — a proven chemical reaction in which harmful organic compounds react with oxygen and are permanently converted into CO₂, water vapour, and heat. The three conditions required are fuel, oxygen, and sufficient temperature. All three are consistently achieved across every system OXIAN has deployed and operated.

Compound Measured efficiency
H₂S (hydrogen sulphide)99.9%
CO (carbon monoxide)99.5%
SO₂ (sulphur dioxide)91.3%
Benzene99.9%
Toluene99.9%
Xylene99.9%
Aromatic hydrocarbons99.9%
Aliphatic hydrocarbons99.9%

Results from independent laboratory measurement at an operational installation. Efficiency varies by input stream composition and operating conditions.

Development note
The first process stage — thermal processing of solid or liquid feedstock — is a technology in active development under OXIAN. It is available for specific project applications at small scale, assessed on a case-by-case basis. We do not present it as a production-ready product at this stage. Our deployed and proven technology is the gas oxidation and treatment stage.
