DIFFICULT
OFF-GAS.
SOLVED.
Bitumen operations, thermal processing plants, and heavy industrial processes produce VOC, PAH, and H₂S-laden off-gas that regulators are tightening on. We treat it — no fuel, near-zero emissions.

WHY EXISTING SOLUTIONS FAIL
-
01
Regulatory pressure is accelerating
EU Industrial Emissions Directive tightening is forcing bitumen, thermal process, and heavy industrial operators to address emissions that were previously tolerated. Environmental permits are naming specific treatment requirements. -
02
Sulphur poisons catalysts. Aromatics kill biology.
Catalytic oxidisers are permanently poisoned by H₂S — not a maintenance issue, a chemistry one. Biological systems handle H₂S well, but the organisms die on BTEX and aromatics. These are structural limits, not vendor problems. They do not get fixed by choosing a better supplier. -
03
Scrubbing transfers the problem — it does not solve it
Wet scrubbing systems absorb pollutants into water. The compounds are not destroyed — they move from air to water and require further wastewater treatment. The problem and its cost continue. -
04
Off-gas streams are unpredictable
Variable caloric content, H₂S spikes, and PAH-loaded streams defeat single-point solutions. What works at steady state breaks down under real operating variance. -
05
Site integration is a constraint
Large fixed installations require permits, civil works, and long lead times. Many operators need a treatment solution that deploys within an existing footprint and commissioning window.
TWO STAGES.
ONE SYSTEM.
Depending on the problem, we deploy the gas oxidation and treatment stage standalone — or as the second stage of a complete two-stage treatment line. The technology is described by what it does, not by a product name. We will explain the right configuration for your specific situation when we talk.
THERMAL PROCESSING
- High-temperature thermal processing of feedstock
- Produces controlled gas stream for downstream treatment
- Development stage — small scale, specific cases only
- Project feasibility assessment required before any proposal
GAS OXIDATION & TREATMENT
- Process temperatures up to 1,150°C
- Independently verified destruction efficiency — compound specific
- H₂S, CO, SO₂, BTEX, PAH treatment
- No fossil fuel supplementation
- Modular, self-contained, field-deployable units
- Note: additional treatment required for streams containing heavy metals or chlorine compounds — identified at screening
BITUMEN & ASPHALT OFF-GAS
- Tanker loading vapour treatment
- Storage tank off-gas capture and treatment
- Processing plant VOC and odour compliance
- Permit-compatible treatment path
THERMAL PROCESS OFF-GAS
- Organic compound destruction — not absorption
- Variable stream handling
- Feasibility assessment available

The anonymous route gets you a technical fit assessment without disclosing who you are. The named route gets you a direct conversation with an engineer. Both start with the same questions.
BUILT ON REAL DEPLOYMENTS
OXIAN is a new industrial environmental technology company. The technology class has a long industrial operating history. OXIAN is building its own line to generate verified performance data under our own name.
Our focus is narrow by design. Bitumen and asphalt off-gas treatment is where our technical record is strongest and where regulatory pressure is creating urgent commercial need. We also address thermal process off-gas and selected industrial VOC situations where our system fits well.
We work directly with technical managers and environmental engineers — not procurement departments. Our engagement process starts with an honest technical assessment of whether we can actually help. If we cannot help, we will tell you that at the start.
The technology we deploy is described by what it does. We will explain the right configuration for your specific situation when we talk — not before.
Our gas treatment process is based on controlled high-temperature oxidation — a proven chemical reaction in which harmful organic compounds react with oxygen and are permanently converted into CO₂, water vapour, and heat. The three conditions required are fuel, oxygen, and sufficient temperature. All three are consistently achieved across every system OXIAN has deployed and operated.
